And baby makes three…

Little Mason was only a few days new when I visited him for his newborn photo session. Holding and cuddling him and admiring his sweet, soft newness was wonderful. Plus, we got some beautiful pictures! Mason’s mommy and daddy were so nice and so calm and at ease with him already, even though he is their first little one.  And grandma was still there helping, so we also got to have a nice chat about grandmotherly things. It was a perfect morning to spend with lovely people. There was snow on the ground, but the house was full of the warmth of love.

Mason, you are blessed to join such a loving, kind family. You can see he looks happy already. And as cute as they come!

I feel so lucky to be the photographer Jana and Tyler chose to get these first special photographs of their precious little boy. Thank you so much, Jana and Tyler. I am so excited to watch him grow!

The bees are buzzing, the birds are singing, the sun is shining. Easter is this weekend. April has followed the warmest March ever on record, and it looks like she has ideas about keeping up with her brother. Of course, this has created some picture-perfect days for photos! And, as Jack Johnson says, “It”s always more fun to share with everyone.”

It’s amazing how a new baby changes everything. All of a sudden, the child who seemed so small grew overnight into a big brother. Mommy and Daddy are pulled into a million more directions. Diapers, crying, nursing, less sleep… and hearts that magically transform with the ability to hold more love than one ever thought possible. Little sounds, a big helper, and a family is more complete. These days are fleeting, and it is always such a joy to be asked to capture moments in the first few days.

Little Luke was just eleven days new when he came to see me, looking very much like his handsome big brother Joshua did as a newborn (click here, then click on “galleries” and you’ll see Joshua representing the newborn section ) What a cuddly little bundle of love. You can see this family is settling in very nicely to being a party of four.
