Yes, the only thing that could be better than having one sweet, handsome, smart, and funny little boy is having another one! And that will happen in just a few weeks for the Hanner family. I’ve known Lori since she and my oldest daughter were friends in high school, so taking pictures of her family is always a very special time for me.

Two-year-old Ethan is as cute as can be…and lively and polite, too. Just the perfect little boy!

I think he’s going to like being a big brother!

Lori has the prettiest baby belly, doesn’t she? She and Chris are so nice, and we always enjoy our photo sessions.  We started out at their new home, which has lots of beautiful light and space.

And then, we visited the Mizumoto Japanese Stroll  Garden at the Springfield Botanical Center. Oh, it was the perfect day to be in the garden! Many of you know that I love to take pictures at the Springfield Botanical Center. It’s huge, with lots of open space, trees, dozens of flower gardens, a gorgeous hosta garden, bridges, a lake, and so much more. In fact, it is so beautiful, my younger daughter had her wedding there. So we just enjoyed a warm spring morning, strolling around the koi ponds, rock gardens, and tree-lined paths. All was serene, except for maybe the geese making us laugh.

It was so nice, as you can see. It was a chance to get some images of this family of three, just before they welcome a new little son into their hearts and lives. I can’t wait to meet the new little one later this month! Thank you, Hanner Family, for letting me share this special time in your lives. Ethan, I know a baby boy who is going to be very, very lucky to have you for a big brother!
